Week Seven Final Revised Essay

Q WR 1020 Essay #2 This assignment is a comprehensive revision of your first essay that must include additional outside information that you have found from a variety of academic and popular sources. The goal for the second major essay is to show your ability to utilize feedback for the purpose of effective revision; you will have an opportunity to conference with the instructor for specific recommendations. This is very similar to what academics must do in real life; they submit their writing to a set of peers and revise based on written feedback. One of the major goals of the course is to practice finding appropriate outside sources to support your thinking. In the first essay, you utilized the articles provided in the textbook to report what they say and support your own I say. An aspect of this assignment is to find additional outside sources to further support your I say ideas. Research requirements: • Find 3-5 additional sources • Mix of popular and academic sources • Challenge yourself to find additional multiple media sources (video, podcast, TV show, etc.) • Utilize the CRAAP worksheet to evaluate each source (separately assessed) Assessment Requirements: • 4-7 pages in length • Addresses the question and adds to the academic conversation (as described in the rubric) • Integrated in-text citations with corresponding works cited page • Includes additional information from independent research
